Fog

A godly sight
As I look down
Cold witness of a ghostly world
Caught in the mouth of the monster
The nothingness before
The nothingness after

A pale absence covering all things
Canceling contours and erasing hills
Taking away all substance
From this world clinging on
To its transient reality.
A floating wisp resisting the annihilation
Just like a fading memory.
